Birchbox // September Edition

Bloody 'ell, am I really posting about my Birchbox? How long has it been?! I've gotten really lazy with my beauty box reviews but this month, I really enjoyed my box so I thought, I need to tell you all about it!

I apologise for picture quality, I'm still getting used to taking proper pictures!

So, for the first time in quite a while, I really liked my Birchbox! If aren't familiar with this company, Birchbox is a beauty box (one of the best I've tried, by far) which is £12.95 per month, that's including postage and packaging. You get a selection of 4-5 products, whether that's skincare, make-up, haircare and even lifestyle bits and bobs, all from a variety of different brands. Oh and you also collate points, each 100 points equals £10 that you're free to spend on whatever you fancy in their online shop. Awesome, right?

Okay, let's crack on. This month's box theme is 'Happy Days' and is focusing on embracing the new school year (I don't quite understand how these products fit with that, but hey ho). This is also the first time in a long time that I have used ALL of the products in my box. My favourite product so far has to be the Premae - Mild Dermabrasion Face & Body Scrub. I have only used this once and on my face rather than my whole body and my skin afterwards felt incredible. It's not too rough which I'm wary of with some scrubs as I have quite sensitive skin and even though it's only a small pot, you only need a small amount for your face! Next I tried the Agave - Healing Oil Treatment. I take pretty good care of my mane and like to use an oil on the ends every now and again. Although I didn't see MUCH difference after using this, I know that the ends of my hair aren't in THAT bad of a condition for the oil to work. However, it smells nice and I will use the whole sample!

I am just about to run out of mascara (heaven forbid) so the ModelCo - Power Lash Mascara came at just the right time. I put my own mascara on first and then finish off with this at the moment. It just gives you that little bit extra volume that we all strive for. The brush is quite thick which I tend to prefer with mascara and it's quite a good sample size, so I will be using this up! Next in line is Korres - Citrus Shower Gel. I also have the body milk version of this (which I haven't yet used, it's stuck in an old Birchbox) but I did try this out in the shower the other day and OH, oh it smells lovely. I really like citrus scents so this is definitely a winner for me!

The only product I haven't yet used, surprisingly, is the Benefit - It's Potent! Eye Cream. I don't really know why I haven't delved into this yet, maybe because I've never used or needed an eye cream, but over the next few days I will promise to give this a go! And then give you a little review :)

Lifestyle Extras: One thing I love about Birchbox, is the lifestyle extras. I love the little photo clip cube stand that has been added, I already know what photo I'll put putting in there. And then you have the Urban Fruit extra which I did quite enjoy. I'm a bit OCD when it comes to food and the thought of dried fruit makes me gag but I have embarked on a recent mission to try as much new food as possible and these actually weren't that bad! However, they are way to pricey in my opinion so I won't be purchasing!

What did you think to your Birchbox this month?
